Bio (long version)

I'm a music technologist, composer, and performer.

I started studying electric and classical guitar at 12, completing my first studies with Mario and Waldir Falcaro. Simultaneously, I started working as a guitarist on tracks and jingles for Cosmossom Studio – Sao Paulo.

I also worked as a composer and music consultant, producing tracks for several short films in partnerships with students of FAAP (Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado). I participate in several theatrical productions acting as an instrumentalist and musical director, including the theater play Ninguém Entende (Aurea Karpor).

I graduated in composition at FASM (Faculdade Santa Marcelina), oriented by Sergio Cardoso (composition), Emiliano Patarra, and Lutero Rodrigues (conducting). During my internship at OJMG (Guarulhos Municipal Youth Orchestra), I worked in over 50 different presentations and assemblies performed at Theatro São Pedro, including the operas La Traviata, Gianni Schicchi, and Cavalleria Rusticana.

At Programa Guri Santa Marcelina, I worked as a pedagogical supervisor and acoustic guitar teacher responsible for the entire program's guitar and strings area up to 2010. I also conducted a student's guitar ensemble in the same organization up to 2011.

I'm currently a Ph.D. researcher in music technology at McGill University, working on several projects at IDMIL and CIRMMT, mostly related to embedded systems for digital musical instruments (Linux/Rpi and ESP32), gestural control of sound systems, mapping (including sound spatialization), and instrument/installation design. Some of the projects I work on include the GuitarAMI, the T-Stick, Probatio, Latency/communication in digital musical instruments, and Le Vivier Mobile.
